About The Finger Lakes Finns

Constitution and Bylaws [~12kb PDF]

The Finger Lakes Finns is a social club for people of Finnish descent and people with similar interests in Finnish culture, who generally reside in the Finger Lakes Region of New York State.

The Finger Lakes Finns meet at 1 p.m., at the Newfield Fire Hall, every month on the third Sunday, except June and July. However, we do customarily get together for Juhannus in June. The meetings begin with a dish-to-pass dinner followed by the business meeting and a cultural program. Programs usually include entertainment, Finnish music, and speakers on various aspects of the Finnish people and culture.

The Finger Lakes Finns also provides a newsletter and group travel opportunities for members.

The Finger Lakes Finns annually offers a scholarship to encourage the academic endeavors of a prospective college student of Finnish descent from the Finger Lakes area.
