Keely Maxwell

Keely Maxwell spoke to us in May about her work in the famous Machu Picchu Sanctuary in Peru, where she is doing research for her doctorate in Forest Science at Yale. She has spent over 25 months altogether in Peru and is fluent in Spanish and Quechua, the primary native language of Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia. Keely does her research within the Machu Picchu Program, a patrimony fund sponsored by Finland as a grant to Peru in exchange for debt.
