Greetings from the Finger Lakes Finns! We would like to invite you to Finn Funn Weekend 2009 to be hosted by our group at the Clarion University Hotel, Ithaca, New York, on October 2, 3, 4, with early arrival possible on October 1, 2009. There are many other activities going on at the same time in the Ithaca area, so it is important to get your reservation in early. Registration deadline is August 21, 2009. The registration forms for the event and the hotel are available as printable Adobe portable document format (PDF) files (links below). However, if you need the paper version please do not hesitate to contact us. We are planning a winery tour for Friday, October 2, along Cayuga Lake. There is a PDF file of information about the tour below, including a short description the wineries and their web addresses. Don't forget your camera. This is a very picturesque area. Boxed lunches will be provided for the winery tour. Registration will be Thursday night from 7-9 p.m. for early arrivals, continuing on Friday at 8:30 a.m. Coffee and pulla will be available throughout the weekend. Friday will begin with the winery tour leaving at 9:30 a.m. That evening will include a buffet dinner, followed by entertainment. Saturday will start off with a Finnish style buffet breakfast. We have many events and cultural sessions planned for the day, including children's activities. A banquet with entertainment is planned for that evening, followed by dancing. Detailed schedules and information will be available upon your arrival. Sunday morning, after another Finnish style buffet breakfast, will be time to bid farewell to our friends. There will be a wrap-up session for those who wish share their observations from the weekend. Note: Breakfast tickets are included in the full event package registration, but commuting registrants may join their friends at any breakfast for just $8.00, payable directly to the restaurant cashier.
